In the 1980s, Barry Leff started a high-tech company in California's Silicon Valley, serving as CEO and growing the company to over 90 employees. In the 1990s, Dr. (in business) Barry Leff quit his job in Silicon Valley and went back to school to become a rabbi. In the early 2000's Rabbi Barry Leff served as a congregational rabbi in Tucson, Vancouver, and Toledo. In his latest incarnation, in 2007, Rav Baruch Leff has made aliyah, leaving congregational life behind to become an Israeli citizen. He works in the business world, volunteers in the rabbinic world, and lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three of his five daughters.
